Biography

Dr. Tedd Goldfinger is Senior Consultant in Cardiology at Northwest Healthcare, Tucson, Arizona, USA, and Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Arizona School of Medicine. He is President, and the Director of Research, for the Desert Heart Foundation, a non-profit research and education foundation in the USA. Dr Goldfinger’s research interest has been focused on alcohol and red wine polyphenols and human blood vessel physiology, an interest that has led to independent and collaborative publications and invited editorials. Dr. Goldfinger is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and the European Society of Cardiology (FESC), and the American College of Chest physicians (FCCP). He has been chair of the International Wine & Heart Health Summit, a biannual CME program, hosted both in the USA and elsewhere since 2001. Dr. Goldfinger founded the Renaud Society, a society of medical professionals and others, with an interest in better health and a passion for wine, in 2006. The Renaud Society is an organization that has seen consistent international growth since its inception, and inclusion in the Fédération Internationale des Confréries Bachiques, Paris, France in 2021.
